Don’t Show Affection by Tossing Your Baby into the Air!

Tossing babies aged 6 months to 2 years into the air as a way of showing affection leads to some health problems, most notably intestinal knotting.

Each time the baby is tossed into the air and caught, the internal organs can shift. Blood circulation in the intestine is also disrupted, and with each movement the intestine can even fold into itself. In addition, traumas caused by the baby’s head hitting the ceiling, or by the baby falling to the ground when not caught, can lead to serious health problems and even permanent disabilities.
